George Clooney, who is well known for his work as an actor, is being honored by the United Nations as a Messenger of Peace. According to People Magazine, Clooney is being recognized for focusing public attention on crucial international political and social issues." Clooney is working to create peace in Sudan by bringing the simple equipment that they need to protect their own.
I think that George Clooney definitely deserves this honor. He has been using his popularity for an amazing cause, PEACE! I can only hope that some other celebrities will follow in Clooney's footsteps and stand up and have their voice heard!!!
